Experimental Adventures with Janet Bailey

With a motivation to capture the mood Janet Bailey uses dramatic lines and flowing color for her organic compositions which reflect an experimental adventure every time she approaches a subject or medium. Allowing the chosen medium to reveal its true nature her journeys to capture the subject appear to be intuitive and unplanned. But like a true scientist her investigations are strategic wonders of composition and skill.

Janet is a champion of her Midwestern environment. With her cherished feelings of the landscape and its seasonal changes and stretched horizons, the surrounding atmosphere lends itself to her fluid compositions. She is known for her rich sense of color and she thinks the ability to draw and compose is an important underlying aspect to any piece of art. She is skilled with a variety of art mediums to explore the subject matter of landscapes, florals, animal and people portraits, and most recently her passion for abstract art. Moving forward with new ideas and experimentation keeps her art fresh.
